Summary: The primary role of the Hourly Training Manager is to manage and track the food and beverage training programs for front of house hourly associates. They will collaborate with the Training and F&B Departments to roll out new initiatives, monitor performance, and communicate updates to the field. In this role, they will oversee the Training Manager program at the location level and serve as their direct contact regarding food and beverage training programs for front of the house hourly associates. They will support the selection, training, and development of Field Training Captains. They are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining sales training programs that align with company training standards, food & beverage procedures, and sales performance goals. Additional responsibilities include facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions, focused on product knowledge, operational skills, guest experience, safety, role playing and service standards.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Work with the Training Design team to create and update training materials, such as e-learning courses, job aids, quick reference guides, and videos that promote sales-focused behaviors such as suggestive selling, upselling, product knowledge, delivering hospitable service and guest engagement. Ensure materials are kept current and relevant for all locations.
  • Measure the effectiveness of training plans and materials by reviewing trainee performance, gathering feedback, and analyzing operational results such as sales performance, guest satisfaction scores, and compliance metrics. Use these findings to identify gaps, create action plans with clear objectives and expected outcomes, conduct retraining sessions and follow-up evaluations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for coaching in-center Training Managers to ensure consistency with company training standards, food & beverage procedures, and service expectations, including product knowledge, service quality, guest engagement, sales behaviors, safety practices, and operational procedures across all locations.
  • Manage the selection, onboarding, and ongoing development of in-center training positions to ensure that they deliver consistent results and champion the culture of the Lucky Strike Entertainment brand(s) and company standards.
  • Provide field teams with sales training through targeted instruction on product knowledge, upselling techniques, and guest engagement strategies. Reinforce learning through practice scenarios, role-play exercises, and on-the-job coaching to ensure skills are applied consistently.
  • Monitor sales metrics by location and partner with Field Training Captains, Field Training team, Training Managers, District Managers, Area Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents to identify opportunities and implement strategies that improve performance.
  • Determine associates and locations that need to be retrained based on performance metrics.   
  • Conduct “Train-the-Trainer” sessions, in person or virtually, to ensure locations follow company training, food & beverage, service, and safety standards. Provide refresher courses as needed to maintain consistency and reinforce best sales and guest engagement practices.
  • The ability to work varied shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended workdays to support business needs.
  • Travel is required.

Qualifications:

  • Background in training and managing a team in food and beverage, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality results by developing and motivating employees to become sales champions.
  • Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for hourly employees.
  • Comfortable leading group training courses, 1-on-1 coaching, or virtual sessions.
  • Ability to develop tailored training content to fill identified gaps — from quick-reference guides and job aids to full training modules and eLearning courses
  • Possess a highly developed sense of leadership.
  • Must be a strong team player and possess strong presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams proficiency.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma plus three to five years of experience working or managing front-of-house food and beverage roles.
  • Must have three years minimum in training, managing, and facilitating associate food and beverage development programs.
  • A strong understanding of service standards, alcohol laws, guest satisfaction, and pacing is also required.

The approximate pay rate for this position is $67,000-75,000 annually. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
